Fast and Quick Combat Sports: Know their Difference
The definition of fast and quick were well studied first, right before this article has been written. Yet, dictionary says they are having similar meaning. In terms of martial arts or combat sports, fast and quick have different interpretation, most especially the ‘quickness’. When you say quick, it denotes a technique having an explosive kind of speed. While being fast does not require any explosiveness. The goal of the combat devotee should be the former. To be able to acquire explosiveness, one should learn the movements and techniques thoroughly. And the following ingredient is the speed components, namely: relaxation, the course strength, timing, delivery speed and perceived speed.
In the initial part, the coach should be certain that body moves are given focus, it can be during or after doing the technique. A teacher should have keen eyes, to be able to see the mistakes of the students both internal and external. The reason for this, is that there is no problem that may occur, because the unnecessary movements can affect the original technique.

You are fast, but it does not mean you are quick already. You should add some strength to the strike you make. To make it simple resistance training involves training for your muscles to have more resistance, like calisthenics, weight training, plyometrics and so as water training and others. These strenuous activities pr exercise, should not be embarked right away, instead consult a physician before you begin.
